How will the funds I raise help children and their families?

Your participation supports the fundraising efforts of K.I.D.S.S. for Kids, an Affiliated Organization of Children’s Memorial Hospital and the largest donor to the hospital’s Family Services Department. Family Services address the developmental, social and emotional needs of hospitalized children and their families through:

  • Social workers, child life specialists, activity coordinators, interpreters and chaplains.
  • The Janice and Kimberly Brown Family Life Center, a medical-free play area for patients, siblings and families offering books, games, activities and toys.
  • Kohl’s House, a residence for pediatric transplant patients and their families.
  • Skylight TV, the hospital’s own onsite TV Station with live programming for patients.

…and much more!

Nearly all Family Services programs and staff are funded by philanthropy. Your contributions help ensure that these vital programs are available to the more than 126,000 children and families who rely on Children’s Memorial each year.

  • $50 provides play therapy for patients during MRIs and other in-patient procedures $75 Funds an afternoon of play activities in the hospital clinics
  • $100 supports a Kids Advisory Board meeting
  • $200 provides art, music, and games for patients 12 years+ in the Teen Lounge
  • $300 supports one week of playgroup activities for inpatients in the Brown Family Life Center

Together we can continue to save and improve lives!
